Very Intelligent Design

Something occurred to me today:

When we're breathing, the air comes into our body, is processed, and then goes out through the same pipe. So we're like a big bag that way.

For food, it comes into our body, is processed, and then goes out through a different pipe. So we're like a big donut that way.

I'm sure glad we're built that way, and that air and food aren't processed the other way around.

Re: Very Intelligent Design

wouldn't it make even more sense to have a separate orifice for breathing, eating and communication? Having a shared orifice is just plain inefficient.

In addition to inefficiency, not everyone wants to share their orifice.

Re: Very Intelligent Design

Is there a separate orifice for spam?

Re: Very Intelligent Design

In the case of spammers they can breath and shit from the same orifice.

Re: Very Intelligent Design

The Philip K Dick novel Counter-Clock World has time running backwards and the normal bodily functions reversed. Hence, people consume "sogum" and excrete food. As for conception...
